COVID-19 Information for Customers, Update 001

Posted 2020-03-25

To Our Valued Customers:

Agway Metals is continuing to diligently monitor the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

As per the Ontario Provincial Government mandate today, manufacturing facilities and many construction sites have been deemed as essential workplaces that can remain open. As a result of this decision, we will continue to keep our facilities open for business. We have also benchmarked our decision against many other businesses in this industry. Through this benchmarking process, we have found that the majority are continuing to stay open as well. We have also consulted with our legal advisors to ensure that we have interpreted the legislation correctly.

The Provincial Government in Quebec has ordered the closure of jobsites in that region. At this point we will not be delivering to jobsites in Quebec but we will be able to accommodate any Customer that wishes to pick up their material at our facility. Our sales staff in Quebec will continue to be operational in order to serve the needs of our Customers.

The majority of jobsites in the Maritime Provinces continue to be open. We will continue delivering to our Customers in this region. Our sales staff in the Maritimes will continue to be operational in order to serve the needs of our Customers.

In order to maintain social distancing for our employees, we are requesting that any Customers that are picking up orders from our facilities call ahead and do not enter the building. We have the shipping phone numbers posted on the shipping entrances as well. We will get your order ready for you and happily assist you in the shipping yard.

This situation is dynamic and will be monitored on a continuum. We are happy to be able to continue to serve our Customers. We are doing everything in our power to ensure both the health and safety of our employees and everyone we come in contact with. Thank you for your loyalty to our organization. We are committed to serving you and your ongoing business needs.

Yours truly,

James Robertson,
President
